Yes, it is happening again. Our very fun Harvest Festival In support of the gardens and eco-initiatives at Jackman and to celebrate the start of the new school year. We welcome everyone to dance, eat chili and baked treats, bob for apples, bring hallowe’en costumes to swap, buy your pumpkins and celebrate at this festive social community event. Entertainment at this year’s Harvest Festival will be action packed and non-stop. Student bands and performers will share the stage with the Jackman Lumberjacks and other parent bands. You’ll be amazed by all the Talent in our Jackman community! Meet your school council members as they serve hot dogs and chili. Here is how you can help:
We need your Chili! – meat or veggie – show us what you’ve got! Sign up in the lobby. Drop off in crock pots on the day.
New this year: Apple or Pumpkin pie bake off – let our community vote your recipe the best. Winner receives a gift voucher.Contact Michelle Hunt at email@example.com
Bake Sale: Many families make the Bake Sale is their first stop at Harvest Fest. The treats are delicious and they always sell out quickly. We’ll be selling cookies, cupcakes, brownies, candy apples and more! Bakers, get your recipes out. We’ll be accepting your baked goods throughout the day Friday, Oct 19. Nut free treats only please. Let Julie Dale (firstname.lastname@example.org) know if you are able to help for an half hour shift at the bake table.

Don’t buy your kids’ Hallowe’en costumes yet ! The Free-cycle Room is your opportunity for families to bring costumes from last year, and to choose another different costume from the pool of what other families bring in. Drop your costumes off in the bins provided in the front hall. Even if you have your costumes, stop by the Free-cycle room to look for items that have gone astray since school started. We will have the lost and found displayed. Stop by the Music room and enjoy a bit of a break from the excitement of Harvest Fest. If you want to help, contact Jenny at 416 522 7767.
