TCS Children’s Choir- accepting new choristers in January 2014

Season’s Greetings from the Toronto Choral Society Children’s Choir!

The choir will be accepting additional choristers in January 2014! The Toronto Choral Society Children’s Choir will begin second term rehearsals on Thursday, January 9.

The choir presented its first holiday concert, titled Candles in the Window: A Musical Celebration of Light on December 7 at St. John’s Presbyterian Church. A second concert will be held in May, 2014.

We are a non-auditioned community choir for children in grades 4-6. The choir offers a safe, challenging and fun environment for children to sing, learn about music and contribute to the local community.

The choir rehearses Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Holy Name School, 690 Carlaw Avenue (at Danforth). Rehearsals begin January 9 and run through to May 2014. The second term registration fee is $150 (January to May).

The mission of the TCS Children’s Choir is to encourage and enrich the musical interests of children in Toronto’s east end by providing a community choir experience in which they can learn, perform and develop a life-long appreciation of singing.
