The Toronto Choral Society Children’s Choirs will begin rehearsals for their fifth season in September 2016 and is now seeking young singers from your community in grades 2-6. Children in grades 2 and 3 are welcomed to the new Young Children’s Choir launched in January 2016. The original choir, which was launched in January 2013, welcomes children in grades 4-6. Both choirs offer an exciting choral opportunity for children in east Toronto.
They are non-auditioned,community choirs that offers a safe, challenging and fun environment for children to sing, learn about music and contribute to the local community.
An opening campfire event will be held at the fire pit in Withrow Park on Friday evening September 8 to which anyone with an interest in the choir is welcome.
The choirs rehearse Thursday evenings at Holy Name School, 690 Carlaw Avenue (at Danforth Avenue). Rehearsals begin September 15 and run through to May 2017. The registration fee is $250 for the full year (September to May). The choirs will perform concerts in December 2016 and May 2017, as well as some community events.
